30 minute brand challenge: Levi's

brief:
I have 30 minutes to plan, photograph and edit photos based on Levi's, using only things that I currently own and the same plain white wall as a backdrop. I will pick clothes, apply make up, style my hair, pose and edit in a style that I think captures the essence of the brand.

​oh my, I had a lot of fun here. High waisted jeans, red lippy and ya gal's happy.

I ended up with two options for the standing image and about six for the others; with these three making the cut.

I did actually make a few notes for this one, huzzah! after looking at Levi's images, they did seem to vary a reasonable amount but I picked up on some signature styles that I thought I could work with. these are the notes I made pre-shooting:
- a lot of street style
- natural 'unposed' poses
- fun and cool
- not too clean, some graffiti and tattoos

I would have preferred to shoot this outside but hey, I made the rules and one of them was using this white wall. doh. 

I went for a grey cropped vest, oversized sunnies and trainers to suppliment the jeans for a sort of preppy, American look. I applied red lippy and no other make up (thanks to the sunglasses) and for my hair? well I actually combed it LOL, into messy beachy waves. 

editing was fairly minimal for this one: I decreased the contrast, darkened the whites, lightened the blacks which gives it a bit more of a natural, 'snapshot' kinda vibe. Less high end fashion and more 'I'm having fun in the street with my mates'. 
​I decreased the saturation ever so slightly and everything else was just minor tweaks. 

third brand challenge is a wrap! 

these were the three brands that instantly came to mind so it might be a while before I figure out what the hell to do next. I do want to do a couple more of these, ideally breaking further out the box and showing some more variation.
