DEADLY VIOLETSThese guys are completely amazing and came to me with the idea of a crime story narrative that they wanted to play out in the build up to a release.
I worked with them to storyboard the narrative progression, create/establish the characters they would play (and the complicated relationship between them) and keep them on track with the creation and implementation of all the visuals. Their aesthetic is a mix of influences from western films, to sci fi, to current rock duos so I captured all these things whilst creating them something completely unique. The details with this one go DEEP; from very in depth character profiles (we discussed favourite smells, personality traits, background and how they interact/annoy/play with each other amongst many other factors) to a story that unravels throughout multiple social media channels/ accounts as well as through music videos and photo shoots. I worked with them to determine each character's photo editing style, caption/communication style and the types of props and imagery they were likely to create. We then made sure there were crossovers and led the story to the point where the characters would meet for the first time (before they 'started the band'!). |
